The title puzzled me almost to the end of the book. I have read the Wallflowers books and liked them, but it has been a while, and Phoebe’s father was not introduced until late in the story. His scenes were some of my favorites, however. West was funny. He was great father material from the beginning. And, not very often in any romances does the hero recognize his love so early. The idea that Phoebe was prejudiced against him for bullying her sickly husbad for one year of school was pretty thin; I disliked Henry, even though he was dead. And Phoebe deserved a medal for putting up with his mother. Finally, I appreciated that Phoebe was not an “English Rose.” Her hair was RED.
