This book had a very interesting story idea. In Sweden, 96 year old Doris is very much near the end of her life. When she was 10, her beloved Papa gave her a red address book, which made her feel very grown up. She kept it and used it her whole life. She still has it. The book basically refers to many people who had been entered into the address book. The story goes between Doris "talking" about the person in the address book she has chosen to talk about at the time. And her current life in Sweden. She really had an interesting life. She met some good people and some not so nice people. She tells the stories about them, good and bad. She Skypes with her Grand-Niece Jenny who lives in San Franciso with her husband and 3 children. I really really enjoyed this book! I did deduct 1/2 star because the ending, to me, was a really corny and pretty unbelievable. But really a good book.
