I read this book, but couldn't come to terms with lots of what's on its pages. I felt like I was reading about someone's personal journey toward "gay conversion therapy" in a way. At the same time, lots of what is written here is interesting to read, because you can understand the logic: the author writes well. But instead of this approach on being gay, I prefer what Andrew Sullivan says about being a gay Catholic: "I'm not openly gay despite being a Catholic. I'm openly gay because I'm a Catholic. My church taught me to tell the truth, and to not be afraid of the truth..."
