What a fantastic biography! I love this book because it shows how feminism isn't just for women and girls, but for men and boys. My favorite scene is the one where Justice Ginsburg, her husband, Martin, and their children Jane and James are seated at the dinner table enjoying a gourmet meal that Martin--an accomplished attorney AND an expert in French cuisine--has prepared for the family. The point: when women who wish to are allowed to have careers outside the home, men who desire to focus their attention on domestic life have an opportunity to do so, too. I also appreciate how the book touches on the friendship between Justice Antonin Scalia and Justice Ginsburg, who enjoyed each other personally despite their professional differences. Highly recommended for both boys and girls, and anyone else with an interest in law, politics, social justice, and U.S. history.
