I was disappointed since I thought there might be examples to help a child work through a problem. Instead, this book felt vague and the illustrations (which were dark and almost scary) showed the problem as only a cloud. I realize that's the way problems can feel, but this is for children who might need a direct example to relate to. Several pages were dedicated to how NOT to deal with a problem, then the main character gets tired and decides to deal with his problem head on. After dealing with the problem, he realizes that problems can be opportunities to grow and be brave. This felt very, very oversimplified. What child would come to that conclusion? I, as an adult, have trouble looking for that "opportunity" in all my problems. I realize most don't read the book this way, and I'm all for a book to go through productive steps in solving problems, but this was way off the mark for me.
