Very enjoyable film that hits all the right notes and had me smiling at almost every scene. Takes place in Oakland by local filmmaker, Rodrigo Clark, who shows that he undoubtedly understands the melding and barriers of mixing cultures. Doesn't try to be any more than what it is, and filmed with an almost documentary-style handheld camera view which only adds to its realistic charm. Great performance by Diana Torres as Juana whose spirit overcomes cultural, sexist, and socioeconomic hurdles with conviction and humor.
