This novella bind up was so amazing. Everything that I was hoping it would be, so I am going to do individual reviews for each novella. The Keeper:4 stars I really like getting to read about Michelle, and her secret romance. Glitches: 4 stars-I found this very helpful in understanding Cinder's life when she first came to live with her adoptive family. Very short, but definitely enjoyable. The Queen's Army: 5 stars-I really loved getting to see this side of Wolf. I will admit though, that this story was very emotional, and I am not even exaggerating when I say that it had me crying on the first page. Carswells guide to being Lucky: 3 stars-I was really looking forward to reading more about Thorne, but for some reason, I found him to be really annoying in this novella. Everything that he did was so in character, but I just really didn't like him. After Sunshine Passes By:2 stars- I think that I just didn't like this because it was boring. This is a novella about how Cress ended up on the satellite. I was really excited to read this, but now I am thinking that the story just didn't need to be told. It does talk about how she ended up there a bit in the books, and this just went into a bit more detail. So I don't really think it was necessary for this story to be told. The Princess and the Guard: 5 stars- I wasn't really looking forward to this novella, but now that I have read it, I have to say that I absolutely loved it. It started when Winter was 4 and ended when she was 13. So it goes over quite a bit of time, but it was still so good. But also, warning (not spoiling anything) this was so sad. I don't exactly want to go into details why, but I was very close to tears several times. I especially liked reading about Winter and Jacin, because I felt that we didn't get to spend enough time with them in Winter because of everything that was going on. So I just got to know Winter a lot better, which I really loved. The Little Android: 4 stars- At first, I thought that this was about Iko, but it actually isn't which makes so much more sense. But this novella was so beautifully written, and Marissa Meyer related it so much to The Little Mermaid. A lot more than I was expecting, but I loved it, even though it had a sad ending. The Mechanic: 5 stars- I think my favorite perspective to read from is Cinder. Second favorite is Kai, so when I heard about this novella, I was super excited, and it did not disappoint. You get to see Kai's first impression of Cinder (Which I love), and Kai even admits in this novella that he thought Cinder was pretty!!! (Even though she had a grease splotch on her forehead) So much more evidence that they are meant to be. Kismet!! Something Old, Something New: 5 stars -Marissa's characters stole my heart from the first page of Cinder. After finishing Winter, I thought I had gotten my heart back. But reading this novella, totally shredded my heart up in more ways than one. At first I was so upset, and I was crying because I was so mad that Marissa did that (you know what I mean if you've read it), and then I came to terms with it all, and kept reading for the sake of it and thank goodness. In the end, I was crying (yes again) not for bad reasons, but because I was so happy. But really, I will not be able to live without another book about my Emperor Kai. He is so amazing, and there must forever be more pages that discuss his uncanny hotness.
