This is a really good book expressing Eponine's side of story. Her childhood is included by Susan Fletcher. It is really interesting to read about how she grows up as it is quite different to how my childhood was. Eponine was taught to be bad whereas most parents would normally want their children to be kind and good. Her mother was a surprising character too. I was surprised at how she can be so cruel to Cosette who is like her daughter, young and weak. She also does not like her own son and that is just unusual in reality. So, this is a book that really catches my heart especially when Eponine's love is unrequited.
