This movie had a lot of potential. I really enjoyed the character Chappie and the more renowned cast. Hugh Jackman does a great villain. The only downfall was the weird ghetto thugs who "parent" Chappie. They're supposed to be in some kind of musical group. When is Hollywood going to learn to keep music and acting separate? I understand that South Africa has a huge white British and Dutch population. But I found it strange that all the lead gangsters were white especially those two goofy looking thugs. In fact there weren't many native Africans in the movie. Normally I would be against this train of thought because political correctness has gone out of control. But I felt that it made the movie less real.
