I made a few recipes out of Simple, by Yotam Ottolenghi, one of my favorite "celebrity chefs." As compared to the recipes in Plenty, Plenty More, and Jerusalem, everything in Simple is easy to prepare, with ingredients you can find at your regular grocery stores. (That's not exactly true, since the store in Squamish ran out of harissa and I had to get it in Whistler instead, but that was unusual.) Like all the Ottolenghi cookbooks, you can expect beautiful photos and some simple but ingenious recipes. We really liked the papardelle with harissa, leeks and eggs, and roasted cherry tomatoes with Greek yogurt. I'm sure I will borrow this book more than once to try a few others. I think it will be very popular with everyone!
