whoa, first to comment, ok. I'll try to keep this spoiler free, as I hate to read spoilers to a book I haven't read (just in case). I'll also try to keep it brief, but I know that's not going to happen. Oh, and also, this is the kind of book that you have to have read the first one to understand it. Just wanted to make sure I said that. Anyway, first, let me say that this book, although not as thriller-like as The Paladin Prophecy (which I loved), is still pretty good. My only criticism would be that they spend so much time on the Cahokia section (getting there, exploring it, etc) that altogether, maybe it was half the book. Just to get a key. Okay, so maybe the key was really important and after they had it they got tons of new info (which I loved, it really gave me an insight into the Knights). I also liked how all the characters' powers were developing and they were learning much more. And then there was the ending. Oh, man, the ending. A cliffhanger beyond all cliffhangers. A cliffhanger worthy of the Mortal Instruments or Mark of Athena. A double cliffhanger. (don't worry, still spoiler free) Literally, it's like, oh yeah so one of you may not be what you seem (i'm not going to elaborate) and it's all dramatic. And then, like 2 or 3 pages later, they drop another family bombshell and then with a few short words (that I never wanted to hear), it ended. Just like that. And now I must wait for the next book. So, overall, a great book, good sequel, love/hate ending, etc. Sorry for keeping it kind of lengthy, but I feel this book needed it. Anyway, READ IT!!!
