Watch at your own risk. Aside from good acting and interesting characters, three (3) unexpected twists make this movie NOT worth watching in my opinion: (1) automatic assault rifle high school shooting filmed graphically with blood, gore & screams included (inside and outside the school), (2) the main graphic high school bathroom shooting scene (eg. rifle placed on a character's forehead) is repeated eight times in the movie, and (3) at the end of the movie you learn the disappointing plot truth about the main character. Fun!?...not!!! I listened to all the extra material trying to see if I missed anything here like some clue to the meaning of life or death or an artistic revelation. In the Special Features segments the lead actress, Uma Thurman, explains she doesn't like plot "twists" and the Director agrees with her sentiment in a separate interview. The Director even explains that this film is not really about a high school shooting; it's about blah blah blah. Seriously? So, if your aim is to suffer repeatedly through a graphic representation of an American high school shooting with no insight into the "why's", the shooter, or the trick ending, save yourself a lot of unnecessary suffering and do anything else. Are your dishes done? Are your clothes ready for work tomorrow? If I could give this film a "minus 5 stars" that would be the rating for me. Try "Sixth Sense" or "Miss Sloan" instead.
