Woody Allen and Mia Farrow star as a long-married couple whose own relationship starts to crumble when their best friends, announce they're separating. They immediately pair-up with younger, sexier paramours and enjoy again the pleasures of fresh passion. But smoldering resentments and unexpected jealousies soon rise to the surface, erupting in savage humor and hilariously unpredictable reunions.

Husbands and Wives reminds us that we're all thinking it. No marriage is perfect. Those who acknowledge the imperfections of a marriage and what marriage means, are the ones that last forever. Extra Neurotic with a side of raw, uncomfortable tragedy.

A smart and sometimes, amusing film by Woody Allen. Reminded me of a more serious version of Hannah & her Sisters. It had some funny moments, but is definitely not an out and out comedy. Touches on a lot of emotions. As usual in Woody's films, well acted and well directed.
