Loved this entire series. Quirky yet lovable characters populate the entire town of Weld and create all sort of mayhem for themselves. The criticism that this, the last of the series, is weak is warranted but the series is so far above most fare your forced to watch its worth it to get one more glimpse of the cast. Start at year one and watch them all.

This was a big disappointment. Always done in fun, the series developed the characters and was a fun watch until this last edition. It seemed like the writers lost interest for Season 3, part 2.

The fact that logic and reason were not a prime factor in the series did not excuse that now, the scenes were disconnected such that there was no continuity. For example, Shay volunteers to run the store when the owner is struggling, but then in the very next scene she is walking in a parking lot. Why did she abandon the store minutes after offering to save it? Add to that, she follows a woman she believes is her mother walking in a parking lot and a car comes racing through so fast that it nearly hits because that is the only way they can proceed to the next scene, except that nobody would drive that fast in that situation under the circumstance the driver was passing through. Perhaps it was always a soap opera, but now it became a really bad one.

One other thing is that all the characters were generally good and acted well, except the star character, George, was not believable and his acting amounted to bemused stares. I did not see him as believable in any romantic sense. The women were all taller than him, he is overweight, and whenever he kissed one of them, I got the sense he was not sincere or interested. I watched because it is essentially a good, easy to watch series, but this set was a letdown.

This is just about the gentlest, most compassionate series about a family and a small town that you will ever see. The cast is amazing (you really grow to care about these characters), the writing is accessible and not too sappy, there are some laugh out loud moments, and the view (New Zealand) is brilliant. I love this show, and will miss it when it ends.

This series was so much fun at first, so different and light, but I this has more drama and a little forced.
