I really enjoyed this novella because it was so different in a few aspects that it was enough to keep me glued to the pages. Marlee was “The Favourite”, and was liked by almost everyone in the Selection and palace. There just was something about her character that has you following her every move and feeling. We all know what happened to Marlee in the Elite, but what we don’t know is her entire take on the situation. What happened to her during that time, what she felt. This is your chance to really see Marlee in a new light and a new perspective. How did she become who she was and fall for the guard named Carter? This is the book for you if you want more of the Selection we all love, and more of Marlee. I enjoyed this book a lot mostly because I really liked Marlee and her rebellious track through the journey.

Loved it, especially since Marlee is one of my favourite characters it was interesting to see how it all went down in her POV. Great for fans of Marlee

At least it was better than The Guard.
