Philipps has always been headstrong, defiant, and determined not to miss out on all the fun. Leaving Scottsdale, Arizona, at the age of nineteen to pursue her passion for acting in Hollywood, she found chasing her dreams wasn't always easy-- and sometimes hurt more than a little. In this stunningly candid memoir, she opens up about chafing against a sexist system rife with on-set bullying and body shaming, enduring devastating personal and professional betrayals, and struggling with postpartum anxiety and the challenges of motherhood. -- adapted from jacket

Bob's wife says: I've been on a roll lately with female celeb books and this one kept popping up on 'You Might Like' lists so I gave it a try via audiobook where it was read by the author. I did not enjoy it. I found Busy needy and abrasive and very quickly wanted the book to be over.

I wasn't overly familiar with Busy Philipps, but I really enjoyed her story and how straightforward and honest she was. This was a really quick read and I'd definitely pick up another of hers.

A fun and easy read! It was well written, honest and interesting. If you know Busy Phillips, you can instantly recognize her voice in this book - clearly she wrote it because it is so her! lol. This was the first book I read in a year because it was entertaining and great! I just wish their were photographs, otherwise it would have been perfect. Good job, Busy!

I loved this book! It's funny, honest and conversational in tone and incorporates the perfect amount of insight into celebrity life (because that's the reason we read their books, isn't it?). It's a biography with an effectively authentic voice and reads like she is speaking to a friend. She writes openly about the ups and downs of family life, past relationships, her mental health, and what it's like to work as an actress. She does NOT care about speaking her mind. Honestly, you finish the book identifying with Busy and wishing you were her friend. It's a fun and relatable experience that I'm considering my favourite book of the year so far. Would highly recommend. And that's the tea.

A must read for fans of Busy Philipps, the most entertaining person on Instagram by far. The writing captures her voice perfectly.
