"Upon returning to the states from a European jaunt, Stone Barrington makes the acquaintance of a stunning woman who seems like she could be an ideal candidate to meet some of his professional--and personal--needs. Before long, though, Stone is put to the task of protecting his new hire when New York City is rocked by a series of disturbing crimes, and it looks as if she might be the next target. In the city that never sleeps there's always a plot being hatched, and the only recourse is constant vigilance and a bit of luck. But if those defensive systems fail, Stone will have to go head-to-head against some of the most dastardly scum he's ever faced . . ." --

This book was pretty bad. I had a desire to stop reading after the first 50-100 pages but was able to finish the short read in one day. They could probably make this book into a late night film on cinnemax. Even the "author's note" at the end is ridiculous. I won't be reading a Stuart Woods book again.

This book uses the F word liberally, something that previous books didn't have.
There were a few plot twists at the end.

Some of Woods' books in this series are a bit light on plot, more romps with a variety of bed partners. Woods stories have conspicuous consumption as part of the story line.

This one came close to having a plot, interesting characters and a desire to see how it ends. I am looking forward to the next one in the series.

Yet another wood's failure.
How many sub plots and distractions does this book contain?
LOTS and way too many!!!
There are times I put the book down, only to continue to find the same carp as when I started reading the book.
I got to about page 160 and gave up..
Time to stop reading his demented crap.
