My favorite of Patricia A. McKilip's adult fantasy novels, The Book of Atrix Wolfe tells the heartbreakingly sad story of the daughter of the Queen of the Wood, who has been missing since a terrible massacre mistakenly caused by Atrix Wolfe, a sorceror who misused his power to stop a war.

Very generic fantasy. Quick read. Definitely a book to borrow and not buy.
