A friend asked "why this book?" as in "why did you pick this book to read?" and I couldn't answer. The cover, and it's often covers which get me in the front cover, is unremarkable. The title reveals little. Yet from the moment I opened and began reading I was engaged. The dialogue is excellent and that's always a hook for me. If the ending seemed - well, I can't even recall how it ended - that did nothing to lessen my enjoyment. This is an author I'm now in search of. I really enjoyed this book.

This was an enjoyable read. Mix in a bit of magical realism, a conflicted main character, and good writing and you have a fun read. The main character is at a crossroads in her life and although she might seem to be aimless in her pursuit of a direction, who hasn't at one time. Sometimes you just have to see where the road takes you.
