Inventive and disturbing yet relatable, in a way, to the far reaches of one's imagination. Mona shares her job as a housekeeper as well as her relationships in a most unusual way. Loud, funny, provocative, and quite audacious.

I hate the ending, because I loved all the way from Lowell's "low life" to Taos' "high living" so much until the ending approaches. Or I don't get it - humorlessly overdone?

Unusually twisted and disturbed, but keen perception plus ingenious use of language presents no barrier to lure, reveal the real world and real people. It's funny, empathetic, hurtful, and can be unforgiving to anyone among us.
