This is the worst book of the series so far. I gave it 3 stars only because J R Ward 's world building is fantastic and the world is the same in her Black Dagger Brotherhood series which is far, far superior. In fact, the only reason I will read the rest of the books in the Fallen Angel series is to see if there are character overlaps and appearances from the BDB series.

Not Ward's best. It was sort of lacking in many different ways - tension, chemistry, plotting. Hopefully the next installment will pick up the magic of the first in this series.

It is with great anticipation that I wait for a new JR Ward book. This 4th in the Angel series did not disappoint. To really enjoy these books you have to know the background and they are best relished if you read in sequence. I actually liked the complexity of Jim's reactions to Devina, remember he is a bad boy and she DOES get to him in a physical sense, thus part of the good/evil battle. I applaud JR Ward for another fine novel and am already anxiously awaiting her next installment. 5 stars on this book.

Just ok, not as good as the BDB series.

I expected this book to be better. Her books are usually great. In this book Jim's reaction to Devina against his actions are just really stupid and doesnt give you much hope for the future of man kind.
