Angela is such a wonderful person. She genuinely cares about creating tasty, nutritious recipes. All are plant-based and many are gluten-free, soy-free and nut-free or substitutions are given to make the recipes without certain ingredients. My only issue with the book is that some recipes require expensive or unusual ingredients that I don't normally keep in the pantry.

Over the past decade, blogger Angela Liddon has embarked on a life-changing transformation while sharing her scrumptious recipes with the world. As an aid for recovering from an eating disorder, Angela worked through her complicated relationship with food by sharing her delicious plant-based recipes with millions of blog followers. In 2014, her first cookbook, Oh She Glows, gained global success and has been printed in several different languages.

Fast forward to 2016 when blogger and chef-extraordinaire released her latest cookbook entitled Oh She Glows Every Day: Quick and Simply Satisfying Plant-based Recipes. Separated into sections based on meal types, Angela provides cooking-enthusiasts with the ammunition to create wholesome and delicious meals.

Although some vegan cookbooks are filled with unheard of ingredients, this book consists of easy-to-follow recipes that are made largely with items on hand. The author provides a thorough overview of the contents of her kitchen to showcase ingredients and to discuss storage requirements. Furthermore, Liddon thoroughly discusses common misconceptions about some ingredients typically used in vegan recipes, such as tofu, and identifies the best way to prepare it. Although some meat-lovers may fear that plant-based recipes will be bland or insubstantial, each recipe is packed with nutrients and flavour.

Readers will notice a change in focus and perspective between her debut cookbook and its sequel. After releasing her first cookbook, Angela and her husband had a baby girl which encouraged her to develop recipes that are kid-friendly, allergy-aware, and easy to take on the go.

From the cozy butternut, sweet potato and red lentil stew to the raspberry almond thumbprint cookies, this cookbook will whet your appetite for hearty and healthy plant-based meals for the whole family.
