This is a kinder, gentler police procedural than many in the genre with a good mystery at its core. A very "clean" read with mild mannered characters & I enjoyed the lack of backstabbing/office politics or "detective fighting personal demons" that has become so prevalent. It's a long running series so if you're a fan of previous books, you'll find much to love here.
