Bill Murray is one of the world's most beloved celebrities--but his off-screen antics rival his filmography for sheer entertainment value. Gavin Edwards traveled the country to the places where Murray has lived, worked, and partied, and interviewed everyone from rock stars to bartenders, in search of the most epic, outrageous, and hilarious Bill Murray stories from the past four decades, many of which have never before been reported.

I have a confession. I'm not a movie watcher. Bill Murray, therefore, is just a trivia answer for me. The reason I picked up this book is that the title had the word "Tao" in it. The book did not disappoint. Bill Murray is an excellent example of a person living his life according to Lao Tze's Tao Te Jing. For example "There are many ways to be a spontaneous free spirit. One of them is to act before you think; throw up your body into the moment and let your mind catch up." I enjoyed reading the book and might even model my life on him in some ways. The last chapter, "The films of Murray," gave a good summary of Bills roles and acting methods.

This book is an opportunity to hangout with Bill Murray. Full of stories of Bill Murray's off screen antics, never told stories of Murray during filming. And most entertaining are the stories of chance encounters with Bill Murray. And a glimpse on how we might all strive to live.

Enjoyable book about the exploits of Bill Murray outside of his movies.

Fun and interesting read but I believe I would have enjoyed it more if it would have been an autobiography. Fun fact: Bill Murray is taller than you think. 6' 2" Although the book says 6'3" or 6'4". I thought about it and realized they were right. Taller than I thought.
