This book envelops the essence of Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are.

Angus is angry, so he storms away from home. The progressive manipulation of illustrative scale throughout the story perfectly mirrors Angus' escalating emotions. The more blocks he travels from home the more frightening the city appears, and the more grotesque the world around him becomes. The illustrative scale is restored when Angus' mother comes to find him.
