This book should have been essential if not mandatory reading for all Americans of voting age prior to the Presidential election. Talk about things being rigged! A good selected further reading list and also well documented.

The commenter below, DonalR, pretty much nails it exactly! Ms. Brown's work is as close to encyclopedic as possible, a complete eye-opener to any and everyone who has grown dependent on the likes of Wikipedia, or the godforsaken corporate propaganda referred to as "the news." Ms. Brown explains real history, the real goals, the underlying agenda, what we never learn in history class, which only deals at the lowest of levels. Also highly recommended along with Ms. Brown's book: "The Hellhound of Wall Street" by Michael Perino, "Extreme Money" by Satyajit Das, "Treasure Islands" by Nicholas Shaxson, "Wealth, Power and the Crisis in Laissez Faire Capitalism" by Donald Gibson.

No single source ever reveals all sides of a topic, but Web of Debt comes close by providing a comprehensive look at our monetary system and its history. It should be a mandatory read for all Americans. If people knew more about our money system, there would have been external pressure for change after the economic meltdown in 2008. Conditions could have been much different if we had a better knowledge of what was actually going on.
