Rare to see big-budget big ensemble cast mini-series these days.
Dark & somber.
Tough love boot camp for the actors.

So well done and a great homage to the men who served. Brilliant and kudos to two amazing producers.

Terrific series which compels one to examine the differences between the society, mentality, and patriotism of the WWII era versus today. I would recommend that this series be viewed by high school seniors in order that they understand the sacrifices made so that they can live in peace and safety in our nation.

An excellent miniseries of American help freeing some of Europe. Superb acting, set up, scenery. The scenes of the labour camps and of Austria are horrifically real.
This movie will stay with you for a long time.

This is my most favourite show of all time. Band of Brothers gave me a strong love for military personnel and military history. I can barely put into words how much this show means to me (and yes, it does sound a little drastic, but still) of how it showed me the bond between brothers in arms. Thumbs up to Mr Hanks and Mr Spielberg for this amazing show. This is definitely a 10/10! Lest we forget. Nous Resterons. We Will Remain.

I've heard of 'Band of Brothers' but I wasn't interested in watching it for a while until my Uncle told me about it. Oh my goodness this is a good show! Yes just like any war film there is a lot of graphic scenes of war and tunes of cursing but it also captured the disappointment, fear, physical struggles and heart ache of world war 2. I also liked how each episode started with the actually men sharing about what that episode was about. There is also a great cast of actors, it seemed like everyone was in it! I really like the music too. This is worth watching.

This is a 2001 American-British war drama miniseries based on historian Stephen E. Ambrose's 1993 non-fiction book of the same name.
The series dramatizes the history of the "Easy" Company (part of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division) from jump training in the United States through its participation in major actions in Europe, and up until Japan's capitulation and war's end.
The events portrayed are based on Ambrose's research and recorded interviews with Easy Company veterans.
All of the characters portrayed are based on members of Easy Company.
Some of the men were recorded in contemporary interviews, which viewers see as preludes to each episode.
The men's identities are not revealed until the finale.
It is a 705-minute docu-drama, thorough which you might be able to experience the ugliness of the European war as a member of the Easy Company.

If I could, I would give this miniseries 10 stars. I am a lover of war movies and after hearing about this, I thought I'd check it out. I love how each episode focuses on one soldier, to get different point of views about the war. I love the bond that each men shared and I really enjoyed seeing the emotion in all of the actors. My favorite episode was episode 6, where the POV is on medic Eugene "Doc" Roe. Shane Taylor, the actor who plays the medic was excellent. I love the emotion he displays just with his stares. You realize he distances himself from everyone cause he is tired of watching men die at his hands as he tries to save them. If you're a WW2 junkie, or actually just anyone, I highly recommend watching this miniseries.

The best miniseries I have ever had the pleasure to watch. Fascinating look at the European theatre in WWII.
