This is a humorous book that satirizes celebrity philanthropy, terrible workplaces, dealing with infertility, and living in New York City. Jen, our heroine, loses her job in the 2008 recession and takes a job at a poorly run feminist nonprofit (the woman who created it got a huge divorce settlement that had to be used for charity). The people running the foundation are clueless about almost everything. It is a dysfunctional workplace, and if any women are helped by this foundation, it is purely accidental.

This book is an impressive first novel, and I enjoyed it. It reminded me a bit of A Window Opens by Elizabeth Egan (another dysfunctional workplace). I was rooting for Jen all the way through!
