During photographer, George Hurrell's impressive 14-year career (1928-1942) working through such top-name Hollywood studios as MGM, Warner Bros., and Columbia - He, pretty much, photographed the face of every, single big-name star that you could ever possibly think of.

This hefty-sized volume of striking b&w images will certainly give you a good idea of Hurrell's keen photographic genius. To say that his work, literally, epitomized Hollywood glamour of the 1930s & 40s would truly be an understatement (as you'll soon see for yourself).

Compiled (with informative text) by Mark Vieira - "Hurrell's Hollywood Portraits" clearly transforms the Hollywood star, not simply into a figure of high fashion - But into an erotic icon (which was very representative of its place and time in motion picture history).

*Note* - Born in Cincinnati, Ohio (1904) - George Hurrell (88 at the time) died of bladder cancer in 1992.
