A fascinating read and story that needs to be more widely known. The life of legendary violinist and humanitarian Bronislaw Huberman and his standing up against the tyranny of Hitler and the Nazis. The book reads in two parts, Huberman's young life as a prodigy and rise to fame is followed by his move during his 30s towards political action and the saving of hundreds of Jewish musicians. Huberman was the founder of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
