Lots of the patterns are pretty basic and repetitious - for example, there are patterns for a placemat, coaster, hot pad and tea cozy out of the same basic chequered square design. Also has patterns for pouches / bags and a sewing machine cover. Some of the patterns do use more advanced techniques such as yo-yo's and piecing hexagons.
