I haven't read a Delaware novel in years. I thought this was o.k.. The tie-in of two of the crimes with the main crime was far-fetched but characters were pretty well fleshed out. Fast read and passed the time without wasting it. Sometimes that's all I need.
Read many of Kellerman's Delaware books, but this one is the worst. Half the book is taken by the setup to the crime, the rest is a predictable and boring resolution. This is very lazy writing and I'm done with this series. If you want to read an exciting mystery involving a psychologist helping the police solve a series of crimes, check out Michael Robotham's Close Your Eyes. Great writing and intersting plot. Everything that this book isn't.
I've read a few books by Kellerman and checking "my shelves" and I only gave "Rage" a 4-star rating - the others 2-3 stars. This book was okay despite the vagueness of the characters (or one-dimensional) as the Publishers Weekly states.
I liked this book. Only because I was so disappointed in the last few Alex Delaware books, this was almost pleasure. I think Billy Straight is Kellermans best.
