Fantastic series. I wasn't expecting much, but it had gotten good reviews so I tried it. There is violence and nudity, but not overwhelming. It is a part of the story from that time period. While there is liberty of film making added, it tells an exciting tale of Marco Polo and Genghis Khan from a different angle than expected. I binged the whole season and I can't wait to watch season two.

Good Grief. Am I the only one who remembers the tv series Shogun? And it's expansive direction. Production values, and novelistic expanse.
Compare Shogun to this claustrophobic piece of whatever and you will be disappointed.
A definite two out of five,
or in layman's parlance "a real waste of time." An example of what not to do if you are adapting a "script" to TV.
