Few things make me as happy as a new Eloisa James book! This is a rare standalone from her (though I for one have hopes she'll eventually write a book for the hero's twin brother), and I think it's overall quite successful. (Though I will note that apparently this started out as a novella before she decided she had too much to say and fleshed it out to a full novel, and you can kiiiiiinda tell -- there's enough here to keep you entertained, but it's not quite as creative a premise as her novels usually are.) The heroine is likable and endearing and watching her and the hero fall in love (fighting it every step of the way, naturally) is very fun. A fun read for Regency romance fans, or for anyone looking for a light, enjoyable love story for February.
