If you could go back in time and change any pivotal incident in history, what would you choose? Hugh Stanton, ex-soldier and historian, is asked to go back 1914 to prevent the assassination that led to World War I. With lovely descriptions of pre-war Europe to an exciting plot full of unexpected twists and turns, this book was a great read. Lovers of time travel, history, and what ifs should enjoy it.

Surprised at harsh critiques. I enjoyed this book! Solid look at early 20th century history plus the element of time travel, with twists & turns along the way. I couldn't put it down!

If you enjoy a time travel theme and would like an easy read, this book fits the bill.

I agree with the above review. A very poorly-executed performance, indeed. I expected more from the novel's initial premise. Ward Moore has done it better in his 1953 masterpiece, "Bring The Jubilee."

The adage is true-never judge a book by its cover,or writer,in this case. The basic premise-Sir Isaac Newton posits a theory re time ,space and gravity...a notion sure to pique this reader's imagination, coupled with a writer I associate with wit and talent. How wrong one can be.Turgid, repetitive, poorly drawn characters ,heavy doses of sentiment and an ending that is not worth struggling through the adolescent writings to discover. This story has adult sex and swearing, but does not match up to adult expectations...
