Black and white TV version of Therese Raquin. It takes some getting into and is certainly not for those after fast action-packed dramas. However, the story and acting are first rate and it draws you in to the world above the shop. An intense experience and well acted by Brian cox and Kate Nelligan.

Dreary. Depressing. I quit after part 2.

From 1980, so don't expect this British TV production to have Hi-Def picture quality. BUT, Kate Nelligan and Brian Cox steam up the screen and the adaptation of Zola's shocking first novel of repressed lust, and murderous intrigue is excellent and memorable. For grown-ups. Still packs a punch after all these years.
