These short stories (and that epilogue for The One!) added so much depth to the series! I'm so glad I read it before starting The Heir <3 I'm definitely going to be thinking about these the next time I read The Selection again :)

You have to be a true fan to find any of these interesting.

Ms. Cass wrote a devastating look at a not-so-brave new world, one that found the United States drastically altered and laboring heavily under a falsely imposed caste system. This volume takes a look into the minds of various characters that played integral roles in America Singer’s rise to becoming princess and then queen of this fractured land.

We see Queen Amberley as she was when was part of a Selection and come to understand how a sweet, gentle girl could fall in love and stay with a boy already on his way to becoming a manipulative abuser. His bouts of rage and his dictatorial attitude are unsettling but Ms. Cass manages to gain the reader’s sympathy for a lonely boy who has to deal with hostile parents and the girl who wishes to be his quiet port in the stormy life of a future king.

It’s thrilling to read exactly what’s going on inside the heads of Maxon, Marlee, Aspen, Lucy and Celeste, et al. Readers wanted to know more about these people and Ms. Cass delivered. This anthology is a worthy entry to the Selection series. If you have the other five books, consider adding this one to your collection.

I loved it. I loved the selection series, I was itching for more.
A backcheck on how everyone is doing.
Things about the queen before America.
Things about Prince Maxon.
I just like how this came into place.
I liked how it put other selected girls opinions on there too.
Also the artwork included was very nice.

After completing Kiera Cass's bestselling, swoon worthy trilogy, I was eager to return to Illea another time. "Happily Ever After" is a book of novellas from several different characters that shows Maxon and Aspen's individual perspectives, Marlee's tale and Amberly's backstory, also including Celeste scenes and a particularly fascinating section that tells you what happened to the remaining elite. The extra facts deepens the story, answering a lot of questions and makes rereading a lot more enjoyable. This offers a sneak-peek into your favourite characters' lives, and will have you begging for more. Any Selection fan will enjoy this compelling, unputdownable glimpse into the story you love. 5/5 stars.

This novel is a part of the Selection series. It includes the novellas- The Queen, The Guard, The Prince, The Maid, as well as bonus scenes from the Selection. I really enjoyed being able to read scenes from the book by different characters’ perspectives. They were really well written, the only problem with it, was that it wasn’t long enough… I wanted to keep reading. Fans of Kiera Cass and the Selection series will absolutely love this bonus book to the series.

It is one thing to like an e-book when it is about one of your favourite characters. It is a completely different matter to have a collection of your favourite author's stories put into a nice, solid paperback, with extra content! The Prince, the Guard, the Queen, the Favourite... and special never-seen before chapters are revealed to us in a nice, purple book. This reminds me a bit of The Goddess Legacy (The Goddess Test Series), which was also a series of stories. Maxerica is really one of my "one true paining," despite the notion that it is "one" true pairing. But the title of this book just sounds and looks so appealing, does it not? 5/5 stars.

Happily Ever After is such a nice accompaniment to the Selection series because it looks on a lot of the aspects in a new light. We see perspectives we never really thought we could hear from before, but wanted to badly due to the extensive and perfect detailing on the characters. Happily Ever After is a collection of four short stories that highlight Marlee, Queen Amberly, Maxon and Aspen’s point of view during this entire situation that we have only seen through America’s eyes. I really like how the four stories differentiate from each other in terms of time periods and the personalities of the characters. I especially loved Marlee and the Queen’s parts because Marlee was one of my favourite characters and it was interesting to know what was going on inside her heart. The Queen’s story came from such a different time; it was so nice to see her and get to know her as well as the King at the time. I never would have thought I would want to know what happened in her Selection but I was so glad the author wrote about it. I especially loved the illustrations that began each of the stories! I recommend to anyone who read The Selection. Rating 5/5

Its Amazing seeing the story from the others views! It seemed like their could have been just a little bit more though... I was really excited to read The Guard, I fell in love with Aspen's character during the series. Yes, I can understand how not a lot of people liked Aspen, but Ms. Cass really didn't do him justice in my opinion. Aspen is a great character who is just misunderstood, however if you understand Aspen you can't help falling for him. The Queen was the best novella though

She is the best writer ever. Literally. Her words come together smoothly, and it's as if your seeing the story through the eyes of the main characters

Read the Queen and Favorite... the others weren't so good..

Not as good as " The Selection". Ms.Cass milks the story. Very predictable and often too boooring.
