In an interview relating to film censorship that I read on the internet, screenwriter Julius Epstein was pretty happy with the work he did for "The Light in the Piazza." Knowing nothing about the film, I decided to see if he was correct. Yes. This was a delightful film that got a little darker near the end. It was filmed in Italy and even when Hollywood shoots there, they still have to abide by the rule that married couples sleep in twin beds. And if they touch their partner who is already in bed, they must still keep at least one foot on the floor.
