This is a good book! The writing is fantastic and the genre is fantasy (which I am not a huge fan of), but not so-far-out fantasy that a person cannot relate to the story. One must employ just enough imagination to accept the premise, and then it's a nice little ride. Author does a good job of ending chapters with the reader wanting to know what happens next. I would recommend this book.

Surprisingly great storytelling here, considering the author is an editor for Cracked magazine (apparently there is some serious talent in that organization). Usually, I'm not fond of timeline jumping in novels, but the gimmick works rather well in this book, as we alternatively bounce between main characters punk-rocker Casey in 1977 New York City, and part-time stuntwoman Kaitlyn in 2013 Los Angeles. The characters do converge in the latter-half of the book. I'm hoping this will have a sequel...
