This is a truly remarkable book on so many levels. The photography is stunning, and the juxtaposition of the historical architecture with the current architecture on each page tells a unique story. T. John Hughes selected a wide variety of places and each one captures the overlapping images in a way that delights the senses. One never tires of spending time with this book; as is true of wonderful art, the more time you spend with an image, the more you see. What a treasure!

I love photo books that show the before and after of how cities have evolved over the years. The author picked good locations to highlight in the book.
