2016 Carol Award Winner
As usual, Karen delights readers with her charming and agreeable writing style. However, I found the dialogue between the hero and heroine overly sappy and at time trite. The plot was predictable but still reasonably entertaining.
"A Worthy Pursuit" is a wonderful story! Karen Witemeyer's charming writing style is sure to delight readers. Her historical settings are always fun, her characters are always adorable, and her plots are always engaging. "A Worthy Pursuit" is sure to have readers turning pages as the plot thickens, yet the author also offers wonderful portions that provide breathing time for the reader. This is a must read for any Karen Witemeyer fan!

This, for the record, is the 4th book I've read by Witemeyer. Karen has a great way of spinning together a romantic journey with cute moments galore. I loved both Charlotte and Stone. They were so different from each other, almost polar opposites in their personalities, but the one thing that kept them both driven was protecting Lily. They were developed well (though Charlotte got more of the growth time). The supporting cast was decent; the best of them was definitely the three children. They were all so adorable and endearing in their own way. The plot tidied up nicely, but it was believable. All in all, a sweet read that I would recommend to romance lovers. 4 stars.
