I really enjoyed this collection of short stories by Mary Higgins Clark. You could see a bit how her writing has changed over time. I especially enjoyed the title story and "A Crime of Passion", as well as the one with Alvirah Meehan. I think she and her husband are some of the most enjoyable mystery novel characters to read about, they are easy to relate to, down to earth, and unintentionally funny at times. The last story really should have been left out- a first person re-invention of "The Tell-Tale Heart" was not a good choice for subject material. All in all, a great set of mini-mysteries! : )
as always, Mary Higgins Clark,
I love all the authors in this book, but a couple of stories weren't as good as the other stories by these authors were before. On the other hand, the other stories were very good. Still love all the authors regardless of these stores.
Disappointed in this book .Have enjoyed all her books but this one is not up to her usual mystery writing
