Although I'm not sure how many of the recipes I'd make, I will definitely check this book out again when I have time to sit down and read it from cover to cover. The book is filled with interesting history, stories, information, and perspectives from 40 cultures, which is what the book mostly consists of. Very few of the 367 pages are recipes. If you are one who loves to "read" cookbooks more than you enjoy cooking, you will especially enjoy this book.
