How can" Zapata" be called only 3 stars? It's well made, very interesting and terrific acting. Don't miss it!!
More like 5 stars!

I was surprised to see Marlon Brando cast as a Mexican in this entertaining 1952 b&w movie (written by John Steinbeck).

Great sombreros/poblamas, too!

This is is awful ! ...when I got this NYPL disc home and put this movie in the DVD player...and the screen says: "NOT FORMATTED FOR THIS REGION" !!?? ( Even though it states "Region #1", on the DVD jacket !!?)

I have watched a thousand other New York Public Library DVDs on my Panasonic Region 1 DVD Player,.. but this one makes it more than TWO DOZEN that have come up as "NOT FORMATTED..." etc. !

I really wanted to see this one. And I had to wait for it.
WHY is the New York Public Library buying DVD's that are "NOT FORMATTED.." to be viewed in this region ?

Has this ever happened to anyone else out there ??

kind of a strange flick, but really good. Both Brando and Quinn are volcanic.
