Add a CommentWhile I enjoy a good steamy romance, I do like there to be more story than steam. This one had to much steam and too little story. That being said, I still enjoyed the book! Easy and quick read.
4th in the Crossfire series
This series is beginning to wear a bit thin. The more I read the harder it is to not think about the borderline (and not so borderline) abusive nature of Gideon and Eva's relationship. Ultimately though, it's fluff and if you can let that admittedly not very minor detail go, it's enjoyable fluff.

If you want a total escape fantasy story then this is your book. Sylvia Day keeps the same formula: drop-dead gorgeous billionaire (late 20's) guy + beautiful blonde rich 24 yr old girl + gay heart-stopping male model best friend + problems up the wazoo = fantasy story. As a "mature" audience, I'm fully aware that billionaires running their conglomerate don't dwell all day on their beautiful love interest. The story is an escape. Don't hate.
There was a definite lack of plot to this book. I kept waiting for a storyline, climax, anything. The most interesting part is the last 2 chapters which now makes me want to read the next book to continue this journey with these two characters. Overall I was very disappointed with this book.
I was not so thrilled with this book. I loved the other ones and waited so long for this book to come out, but it was a bit of a let down.
I loved it! Eva and Gideon are an addictive couple- once you're immersed in their world, it is a wild ride! Explosive confrontations, heartfelt confessions, and a fierce addictive love will have you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait for book 5!
