"2010 marked the year when the National Bureau of Economic Research declared an end to the Great Recession. The economy had shed over six million jobs in 2008 and 2009, but few had been recalled to work by 2010. Today, government policies have yet to make a significant dent in unemployment. Here, Ravi Batra explores why this is the case. He explains how joblessness can be completely eliminated-- in just two years, and without the help of our painfully incompetent Congress." --

Prof. Batra is right on all counts, only the underlying problem is capitalism, and IMHO, THAT is the major problem. But you can't fault the professor for presenting all the solutions, which won't be implemented save for a most violent revolution - - doubtful in la-la-land USA! Prof. Batra once predicted the crash of the American economy/dollar, to occur around the same time as the Soviet meltdown - - technically, Prof. Batra was right, after the S&L meltdown, had not they created fantasy finance in the form of credit derivatives, and with the US Dollar as the world's reserve currency, they would have to also accept credit derivatives - - or at least be forced to with the ensuing wars and violence perpetrated by the American Empire. Understand this, and you will begin to understand the last several decades. [Also, be sure to read Prof. Batra's book, Greenspan's Fraud.]
