Originally from Ireland - Enya Patricia Brennan (born 17 May 1961) (better known by her stage name "Enya") is a popular singer, songwriter, musician and producer.

Raised in a musical family - Enya began her professional music career at 18 when she joined her family's Celtic band Clannad in 1980 on keyboards and backing vocals. She left in 1982 to pursue a solo career.

Enya developed her distinct sound over the following four years with multi-tracked vocals and keyboards while incorporating elements of folk, new age, Celtic, and classical into her music. She has sung in 10 languages.

A multiple music-award winner - Enya is Ireland's biggest selling solo artist (and second overall behind U2) with a discography that has sold an estimated 80 million units, worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

This "Best Of" CD contains 19 tracks in all (from 8 studio albums) which were recorded by Enya in the years from 1986-2008. Three of my favourites here are - Caribbean Blue, Amarantine, and Watermark.

I find Enya's voice quite feminine.
