The start of the school year is not going as the Fletcher brothers hoped. Each boy finds his plans for success veering off in unexpected and sometimes disastrous directions. Audiobook also available on Overdrive/Hoopla **Recommended for ages 8-12**

Fans of Jeanne Birdsall’s Penderwicks series will love the Fletchers - two Dads, four adopted boys, pets, relatives, a crabby neighbour, and a year of misadventures.
what a great book It was a good yes it is about a family with two dads and four adopted kids but it does not make to much of and issue about it. It presents a year or school faced by each of the brothers and the challenges they have that year. also the family deals with a very grumpy next door neighbor
A funny, touching romp with a very amusing family!
Really good middle grade novel about a big happy family that happens to have 2 dads and happens to include 4 adopted sons of various ages and ethnicities...but that's just background for an entertaining story about the events of a school year where each boy learns/grows in different ways. Great family dynamic, great incorporation of issues of diversity without becoming preachy, some hilarious (madcap) adventures that include the family pets. Loved it.
I enjoyed this growing-up story with a twist. It's not your typical school story, nor your typical family story, but a great mix of both with funny moments and touching moments. It is about building relationships and learning what matters to you. Grades 4-6
