Nicely photographed, and fun to look through. Makes for a good coffee table book. The hundreds of photographs pretty much demonstrate all what makes a dahlia a dahlia. Take note that this is not a "how to grow dahlias" book. There is minimal treatment on planting schedules, selecting growing mediums, watering, fertilizing, organic vs inorganic techniques, taking cuttings, over-wintering, etc. Instead, the major value of this book -- besides just being interesting to look through if you like the appearance of dahlia blooms -- is as a compendium of 200 of the most popular dahlias. For that, recommended.
