The original release date was 1963 for this LP
May "Freewheelin" by Bob Dylan be on sale on every music sight and featured as the truly remarkable work of a genius. I love the cover and it looks like Dylan had found love. Well, he had in his music because this music has been covered by literally hundreds of musicians since it was originally recorded. If by any chance you have not heard this album, wait no longer. If it has been a long, long time since you listen to the music, why not check it out. This is musical Gold!
Bob Dylan came onto the music scene with just a guitar. He didn't have any background singers. There was no band behind him. He simply sang and played his guitar. His first record was even in stereo. Yet the world took hold of his music and every young person interested in music wanted to hear his music. Look back at the original Bob Dylan, I think you will be pleased with its simply beauty.
Probably the best of Dylan's folk era albums, although The Times They Are A-Changing is also strong. Worth checking out if you're interested in traditional "old-time" folk music along the lines of Woody Guthrie and Lead Belly.
A seminal work in American folk music.
